Listed on the stock market since June 2014, National Lottery operator Lottotech obtained its operating license from the State Investment Corporation (SIC) in 2009 with the essential mission of providing Mauritians with quality gaming entertainment while contributing to major national causes in the sectors of Health, Education, Sport and Culture.
The first draw of the Loto was made on November 7, 2009 and it was November 30 of the same year that the Loto made its first multimillionaire, while the first scratch cards were put on the market in December of the same year.
Since the beginning of its operations, Lottotech has donated more than Rs 3.5 billion to the Consolidated Fund and had, on September 30, 2015, made more than 145 multimillionaires and paid more than Rs 856 million commissions to its retailers.

Member of the World Lottery Association (WLA), Lottotech fully respects the rules of good governance enacted by the WLA so that all of its operations are at all times consistent with the best international standards in the field. In September 2014, Lottotech received a Level 2 certification in responsible gaming, validated by a panel of international experts in the area of social responsibility.
